Police Blotter: DUI Charges; 3 Windows Smashed

MONDAY, NOV. 7

Property Damage

Someone smashed a window at Tobacco 4 Less, 406 Nelson Road, early Monday morning.

License Violations

  • Alex B. Battaglia, 22, of Frankfort, was charged with driving with a suspended license and improper lighting at 11:41 p.m. He was given traffic tickets.
  • Samantha M. Andre, 20, of Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended license and improper lighting at 10:36 p.m. She was given traffic tickets.
  • Kevin P. McDonald, 35, of Alsip, was charged with driving without insurance or a valid driver's license after police randomly ran his plates at Route 30 and Marley Road. He was given traffic tickets.
  • Brett C. Choisser, 22, of the 200 block of Central Road in New Lenox, was charged with driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance after police randomly ran his plates on Nelson Road. He was given traffic tickets.
  • Rachele L. Oldham, 30, of Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance after police randomly ran her plates near Washington and Cass streets. She was given tickets.

Property Damage

Two incidents of smashed windows at places in Alana Drive were reported to police. The first was a window on a business at 322 Alana Drive, and the second was on a front door at 346 Alana Drive.

Bike Stolen

Someone took a bike from a home's patio in the 200 block of South Prairie Road.

License Violations

  • Willie R. Wilson, 43, of Joliet, was charged with speeding and driving with a suspended license. He was given traffic tickets.
  • Carlos A. Rojas, 25, of Mokena, was charged with driving with a suspended license and no insurance. He was given traffic tickets.

FRIDAY, NOV. 4

Suspended License

Darrin A. Burks, 23, of Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance after police randomly ran his plates near Route 30 and Schoolhouse Road. He was given traffic tickets.

SUNDAY, OCT. 30

DUI Charges

Police arrested Nathan Brennan of New Lenox for driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and an improper turn Sunday, Oct. 30. Brennan, 26, drove a 2000 Chevy Venture near the intersection of County Farm and Roosevelt roads in Wheaton around 2 a.m. when police stopped him.

He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning. Police also issued a local ordinance citation for illegal alcohol consumption to a 20-year-old Wheaton man in the car. He was released on the scene.
