Police Blotter: Drunk Man Found in Another Person's Car

THURSDAY, JUNE 23

Drunk Man Found in Car

Police found a man who "appeared to be intoxicated" sleeping in another person's car at about 4:30 a.m. Thursday. Robert Curylo, 24, of the 900 block of South Cooper Road in New Lenox, was issued a bond and charged with trespass to vehicle. The owner of the car called police after seeing the man in it while parked on the 200 block of Central Road.

Suspended License

Jameel Haleem, 27, of Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended license after police randomly ran his plates near Cherry Hill Road and Washington Street. Police also charged Haleem with driving without insurance. He was given traffic tickets.

Leticia Cano, 39, of Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended license after police randomly ran her plates near Route 30 and Gougar Road. Police also said she had no valid license. Cano was given traffic tickets.

Car Burglarized

A woman told New Lenox police that someone broke the driver's side window to her car, which was parked on the 200 block of Central Road, and stole her purse. This was reported at about 1:30 a.m. Police are investigating the incident.

TUESDAY, JUNE 21

Theft at Jewel

Police responded to a call from the Jewel-Osco on Laraway Road to investigate someone who took unknown merchandise and fled the store without paying. Police are investigating the incident.

Suspended License

Police say they saw Cesar Villalobos, 23, of Joliet, driving without a rear registration light and pulled him over at Route 30 and Gougar Road. Police later charged Villalobos with driving with a suspended license. He was given traffic tickets.

Broken Windows

Police are investigating two calls about windows that were broken Tuesday night. The first incident was reported at 9:42 p.m. on the 100 block of Oak Street, and the second was reported an hour later on the 1900 block of Grand Prairie Drive.

Prescription Meds Stolen

A New Lenox man told police that someone entered his house through his garage and stole prescription medicine and cash from a laundry room in his home on the 1900 block of Grand Prairie Drive. The man also reported that cash and credit cards were missing from his unlocked vehicle, which was parked in his driveway. Police are investigating the incident.
