Police Blotter: Man Lights Fire to Resident's Lawn

WEDNESDAY, JULY 11
Property Damage
John Soltis, 21, was charged with property damage in the 2300 block of Cattleman Drive. Police say he started a homeowner's lawn on fire with a lighter. He was released after posting bond.

Warrant for Drug Charge
Kyle C. Ballard, 18, of the 2100 block of Sanford Avenue in New Lenox, was booked into Will County Jail July 11 on a warrant for his arrest. Ballard was charged with possession of a controlled substance and aggravated assault in October 2011. Police said he and then took them without paying.
Theft
Police say someone stole a woman's purse from a cabinet at her place of employment in the 1900 block of Route 30.

Revoked License
Bryan Kantor, of Joliet, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license on Route 30. Police say he was pulled over due to an expired registration, and it was discovered that his license had been previously suspended.
