Police Blotter: Counterfeit Bill, Suspended Licenses

New Lenox Police reports, Feb. 18-21

monday, feb. 21

Suspended License

Monika Leschkies, 43, of Mokena, was charged with driving with a suspended license after police randomly ran her license plate near 301 W. Route 30. She was given a traffic citation.

Vanessa Acosta, 33, of the 13000 block of West Illinois Highway, was pulled over after police say they saw her using lanes improperly. Police then charged her with driving with a suspended license. She was issued traffic citations.

In-State Warrant

Jammal Drane, 25, of Palatine, turned himself in to New Lenox police for the failure to appear in Jackson County court. He posted a $300 bond and was released.

Fake Bill Used

Police were called to the Speedway gas station, 800 W. Route 30, by an employee who said a customer used a counterfeit $20 bill. The employee wasn't sure who the customer was. Police are investigating the incident.

saturday, feb. 19

Loud Exhaust

Police say they saw Jorin Blecke, 29, of the 100 block of East Wood Street, driving with loud exhaust at about 1:43 a.m. After pulling her over, police say they discovered Blecke was driving with a suspended license and no valid insurance. She was given traffic citations.

friday, feb. 18

Suspended License

Charles Keen, 26, of Channahon, was pulled over by police when they say they saw him without a rear license plate light. After stopping Keen, police say they discovered he was driving with a suspended license and no valid insurance. Keen was given traffic citations.
