Police Blotter: New Lenox Home Burglarized

The following arrest information was supplied by the New Lenox Police Department for June 13-16 reports. It does not indicate a conviction.

THURSDAY, JUNE 16

Booze, Run

Employees at the Jewel Osco on Nelson Road told police that someone took about $80 of alcohol from the store without paying for it at about 9 p.m. Police are investigating the incident.

Debit Card Fraud

A man on the 1500 block of Stonebridge Drive in New Lenox told police that an unknown person tried to make $500 in fraudulent purchases using his debit card. Police are investigating the incident.

A man on the 800 block of Winter Park Drive told police that someone made online purchases of about $250 using his debit card. Police are investigating the incident.

Car Door Damaged

Police are investigating an attempted break-in to a vehicle that was parked on the 800 block of Wildwood Drive in New Lenox. The car's owner told police that someone damaged the driver's side door while trying to enter his vehicle.

TUESDAY, JUNE 14

Home Burglarized

Police are investigating a residential burglary on the 900 block of Bentley Road in New Lenox. A resident told police that an unknown person stole an Xbox system, video games and a laptop of unknown value from his home.

Suspended License

Police say Arsha Robinson, 21, of Joliet, was driving with an obstructed windshield near Route 30 and Gougar Road. After stopping her, they discovered that Robinson was driving with a suspended license. She was given traffic tickets.

Immoral Compass

A woman on the 600 block of Downing Street told police that someone stole a GPS system from her unlocked vehicle. Police are investigating the incident.

MONDAY, JUNE 13

Suspended License

Timothy Coffey, 37, of Blue Island, was charged with driving with a suspended license after police randomly ran his license plates at 1 Veterans Pkwy. Coffey was given a traffic ticket.

Vera Buchanan, 25, of Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended license and suspended registration after police randomly ran her license plates near the Kmart at 1800 W. Route 30. She was given traffic tickets.
