WEDNESDAY, JUNE 13

Resident Scammed in Fake Call

A resident on the 200 block of Hickory Street told police a fraudulent caller scammed him. The resident received a phone call from someone claiming to be a relative, saying they needed bond money wired to the Dominican Republic. After wiring the money, the resident realized it was a scam and notified police.

Bike Theft

Someone told the police that his bike was stolen outside of Pizza Hut in New Lenox at about 7 p.m. while he ate inside the restaurant.

Electronics Stolen

An employee at Walmart in New Lenox told police that someone took various electronic equipment from the store without paying. The value of the items is unknown.

Car Burglarized

Someone stole various electronics from a car that was parked outside a home on the 800 block of Stonegate Road. A was reported last weekend, though police were not immediately available to say whether this incident could be related.

Statue Stolen

A resident on the 1900 block of Coventry Road said that someone stole a statue from her yard.

MONDAY, JULY 11

Bikes Taken

Multiple bikes were stolen from the back of the Kmart in New Lenox after their owners went inside the store to shop at about 4:30 p.m.

Suspended License

Jacob M. Donnewald, 28, of Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended license after police randomly ran his license plate near Nelson Road and Winter Park. After stopping him, police also discovered Donnewald was driving without insurance. He was given traffic tickets.

Robert A. Sieger, 47, of the 700 block of Sunburst Court in New Lenox, was charged with driving with a suspended license after police made a routine traffic stop near the 500 block of West Maple Street.
