Police Blotter: Attempted Prescription Fraud at Walgreens
Two allegations of attempted fraud--one for a check and the other for prescription drugs-are under investigation.
SUNDAY, JULY 15
Prescription Fraud
Someone dropped off a fraudulent prescription for Norco, a pain reliever, at the Walgreens store on Nelson Road but never returned to pick it up.
Car Window Broke
A broken car window in the 900 block of Kris Drive resulted in a criminal damage to property complaint. The car was parked in the street.

Car Burglary
A GPS device and some spare change were stolen in a car burglary. Police say the car was unlocked and parked in the street in the 200 block of W. Joliet Highway.
Swimming Pool Liner Sliced
A homeowner in the 1200 block of Hancock Drive complained that the liner to the backyard swimming pool was sliced. A report for criminal damage to property was filed.

iPod Converter Taken In Car Burglary
An unlocked car in the 200 block of Central Road was burglarized and an iPod converter was reportedly stolen. An unknown amount of spare change was taken as well.
FRIDAY, JULY 13
Check Cashing Fraud
Fraud charges were filed as a result of an unauthorized check cashed for $350 in the 400 block of E. U.S. Route 30. The matter is under investigation.
Bicycle Theft
A bicycle was reportedly stolen from the front of Walgreens store on the 400 block of Nelson Road.
Suspended License
Jermol Tilson, of Romeoville, was ticketed for driving on a suspended license. Police say a complaint of reckless driving was called in, and Tilson was stopped in the area of U.S. Route 30 and Spencer Road.
Personal Property Discovered on Road
Police say they found some personal property on the roadway in the 600 block of Vanderbilt Lane and found identifying information. The victim was notified and said the items were taken in a burglary of his car.
