Police Blotter: Booze and Bikes Stolen

Theft charges keep the police busy over the weekend. New Lenox police reports, July 28-30.

MONDAY, JULY 30

Car window broken

Someone broke a car window in the 2300 block of Cattleman Drive.

SUNDAY, JULY 29

Criminal damage to vehicle

Someone filed a complaint Sunday after discovering a broken window on a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of Shagbark Road. 

Stolen bicycle

A bicycle was stolen from the 600 block of Lisson Grove. The bicycle's value is unknown. 

Traffic tickets issued

Allison Lawrence, 27, of Macomb, was issued tickets for driving with a suspended license and for operating an uninsured vehicle. Police say she was stopped during a random registration check set up at Route 30 and Vine Street.

SATURDAY, JULY 28

Retail theft

Justin Conley, 18, of Aurora, was charged with retail theft after an incident at Jewel-Osco in the 400 block of Nelson Road. According to the report, Conley took a $15 bottle of alcohol off the shelf and left without paying. Conley posted bond and was released.

$500 bicycle stolen

Someone stole a bicyle valued at $500 from the 2800 block of Bluestone Bay. A theft charge was filed, and police are investigating the incident. 

Walmart thefts

Bianca Summers, 21, of Joliet, was arrested and charged with retail theft in connection with an incident at Walmart. According to the report, she left the store without paying for $75 worth of merchandise. Police discovered that Summers was also wanted on three outstanding warrants, each of them for failure to appear. Two warrants originated in McLean County and the third was out of Will County. She was taken to Will County Jail.
