Police Blotter: $300 in Video Games Taken From Walmart

New Lenox Police reports, May 20-22.

SUNDAY, MAY 22

Video Games Stolen

Employees at Walmart, 501 E. Route 30, told police that someone took about $300 worth of video games and left the store without paying. Police are investigating the incident.

Suspended License

Douglas Mceathron, 58, of the 800 block of Southgate Road in New Lenox, was charged with driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and having expired registration after police stopped him near Cedar Road and Illinois Highway. Mceathron was given traffic tickets.

Vehicle Burglary

A man on the 1700 block of South Spencer Road told police that someone entered his unlocked car and stole credit cards and $50 cash from his wallet. Police are investigating the incident.

Suspended License

Charles Mills, 37, of the 1200 block of Timber Place in New Lenox, was charged with driving with a suspended license after police randomly ran his registration near Nelson Road and Country Creek Drive. He was given a traffic ticket.

In-State Warrant

Police say they saw William Sevening, 39, of the 1900 block of Stonebridge Avenue in New Lenox, driving with expired registration and an obstructed windshield. After stopping him, police discovered that Sevening had a warrant for his arrest from the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office. Sevening was given traffic tickets for the registration and obstructed windshield and posted $1,000 bond for the warrant.

Walgreens Theft

Kyle Armstrong, 39, of Joliet, was charged with retail theft after police say he tried to steal toiletries from Walgreens, 466 Nelson Rd. Armstrong was taken to Will County Jail and charges were preferred to the State Attorney's Office.

FRIDAY, MAY 20

Suspended License

Police say Kaprinta Hiller, 20, of Lockport, was speeding near Cedar Road and Route 30, and after stopping her they discovered that she was driving with a suspended license and without insurance. Hiller was given traffic tickets.

Michael Grigat, 37, of Joliet, was stopped by police after they say he had loud exhaust noise coming from his car. After pulling him over, police discovered that Grigat was driving with a suspended license. He was given traffic tickets.

Samara Stacker, 46, of Crest Hill, was charged with driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance after police randomly ran her registration near Kmart on West Route 30. She was given traffic tickets.

In-State Warrant

Fernando Resendez-Lopez, 31, of Lockport, was stopped by police after they say he was speeding near Gougar Road and Interstate 80. Police then discovered that he was driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and had a warrant for his arrest from the Darien Police Department.
