Police Blotter: $12K Ring Taken From New Lenox Home

THURSDAY, APRIL 28
Fake Check Presented
An employee at the New Lenox Currency Exchange, 358 W. Route 30, told police that someone cashed a $950 check that was later returned as a fake. Police are investigating the incident.
Equipment Trailers Entered
Police were called to Franklin Equipment, 2324 E. Washington St., to investigate numerous recreation trailers that had been burglarized. It's unknown what was taken.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 27
Suspended License
Leobardo Rodriguez, 27, of Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended license after police randomly ran his registration near Route 30 and Interstate 80. Police also discovered he was driving without a valid license. Rodriguez was given traffic tickets.

Thomas Stewart, 28, of Bourbonnais, was charged with driving with a suspended license after police randomly ran his registration near Route 30 and Cooper Road. Police also discovered he was driving without valid proof of insurance. Stewart was given traffic tickets.
Fake Prescription at Walgreens
An employee at the Walgreens on Nelson Road told police that someone turned in a fake prescription trying to get medicine. Police are investigating the incident.
TUESDAY, APRIL 26
Expensive Ring Taken
A man on the 1900 of Foxwood Drive in New Lenox told police that an unknown person entered his house and stole a ring that was valued at $12,000. Police are investigating the incident.
