A man trying to pass a bad check at the New Lenox Currency Exchange had a warrant out for his arrest, police said.

A Joliet man trying to pass a bad check at the New Lenox Currency Exchange turned out to be wanted on a Will County warrant, police said.

Daniel Zawadka, 32, of 2441 Saddle Ridge Drive was arrested at the Currency Exchange on Route 30 shortly after 3 p.m. Feb. 3.

An "officer was dispatched to the Currency Exchange reference a subject attempting to cash a check that had already been electronically deposited," police said. "The officer discovered that Zawadka had a warrant for his arrest from Will County. The currency Exchange did not want to pursue a complaint after they received their money back."
