Orland Man Solicited Sex From New Lenox Teen on Skype, Police Say

Joseph A. Bozen, 27, of Orland Park, was booked in Will County jail Wednesday night after New Lenox Police received a complaint he was soliciting sex from a child online.

An Orland Park man solicited sex from two teens through the online video chatting program Skype, officers said after arresting him Wednesday.

Joseph A. Bozen, 27, of the 9900 block of Shady Lane in Orland Park, was charged with grooming, or soliciting sex from a child online, as well as indecent solicitation of a minor.

Sgt. Pete Nelson, the investigator on the case, said the department received a call from the parent of a New Lenox teen Monday night. He said Bozen met two girls, ages 15 and 16, on Facebook about two months ago and had recently chatted with them on Skype, soliciting sex.

"There was basically just inappropriate questioning as if you were talking to an intimate girlfriend," Nelson said.

He didn't know how many times the parent believed Bozen had chatted with the teens, but said there were multiple occasions. They never made physical contact.

Police executed a search warrant at Bozen's home Wednesday evening, and the Will County Sheriff's Deparment high tech crime unit is further investigating the allegations. Bozen is being held in Will County Jail.

Grooming and indecent solicitation are both class 4 felonies, which carry a maximum sentence of three years in prison and a maximum fine of $25,000.
