UPDATE: Cops Arrest New Lenox Man Tuesday in Fatal Drug Case

A New Lenox man was arrested Tuesday and charged with drug-induced homicide in the death of a 27-year-old man on Nov. 25, 2012.

New Lenox Deputy Police Chief Robert Pawlicz revealed that Nicholas J. DePratt, 26, of the 200 block of S. Cooper Road, had supplied heroin to 27-year-old Brandon Robinson, also of New Lenox. An overdose of heroin led to Robinson's death on Nov. 25 in the 700 block of Stonegate Road.

A 26-year-old New Lenox man was arrested Tuesday, according to New Lenox police, in connection with the November 2012 drug-related death of Brandon Robinson. 

Nicholas J. DePratt, 26, of the 200 block of S. Cooper Road, was charged with drug-induced homicide, according to Deputy Chief Robert Pawlicz.

Robinson, 27, was found dead in the 700 block of Stonegate Road on Nov. 25, 2012. Police are not releasing further information about the events leading up to Robinson's death at this time. 

"An investigation revealed that there was probable cause that led up to the arrest," said Pawlicz. 

DePratt was booked into Will County Jail Tuesday morning. Bail was set at $500,000, police said.

DePratt was also charged with burglary stemming from a Dec. 9, 2012, incident and possession of a controlled substance in connection with a June 25 case, according to the Will County Sheriff's Office.  Another $50,000 in bail was set for these charges.
