New Lenox Woman's Fake ID Leads to Bar Fight With Cops: Police

Three women allegedly scuffled with cops after one of them got caught with a fake ID, police said.

Three New Lenox women pushed, struck and spat on cops after one of them was caught with a fake ID, police said.

Shannon Barker, 20, of 525 W. Haven Ave. along with Elizabeth Gonzalez, 37, and Elizabeth V. Gonzalez, 22, both of 2160 Cattleman Drive, all were charged with battery in connection with the 12:30 a.m. Friday incident at the White Horse Inn.

Barker also was charged with unlawful use of a driver’s license and the illegal consumption of alcohol. The Gonzalezes were charged with resisting arrest on top of the battery.

Officers were sent to the West Maple Street tavern to check out a "complaint of a customer who presented a fraudulent driver’s license," police said.

"Officers were directed to Barker and discovered that she presented a driver’s license that was not hers," police said. "While taking Barker into custody both Elizabeth V. Gonzalez and Elizabeth Gonzalez interfered with the officers' duties, hitting them, pushing them and spitting on them."

The Gonzalezes allegedly went on to resist officers when they were being taken into custody.

Barker was carted off to the county jail. The Gonzalezes were released from custody after posting bond.
