New Lenox Woman Jailed For Firing Shotgun Outside Her Home: Cops

The New Lenox woman also did not have a firearm owner's identification card, police said.

A New Lenox woman was jailed for allegedly firing a shotgun outside her home at 1 in the morning Wednesday.

Colleen Gallaway, 52, of 1190 W. Route 6 was booked into the Will County jail on charges of reckless discharge of a firearm and possession of a firearm without an owner's identification card.

Officers were sent to Gallaway's home after someone complained about hearing a shot fired, police said.

"While checking the location where the complainant stated the shots came from, the officers spoke with Gallaway," police said. "The officers were able to determine that Gallaway had fired a shotgun just outside her residence."

The New Lenox police would not disclose what—or who—Gallaway was allegedly shooting at.
