A New Lenox woman pulled over for driving around with only one headlight turned out to be holding marijuana, police said.
Heidi Wirtschorek, 34, of 248 S. Cooper Road was charged with improper lighting, possession of cannabis, possession of drug equipment, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and driving with an invalid registration.
Wirtschorek was pulled over shortly after 6:30 p.m. Feb. 11 near the corner of Haven Avenue and Wildwood Drive.
"The officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for only one headlamp," police said. "The officer learned that the registration sticker belonged to another vehicle. The officer detected an odor of cannabis coming from the interior of the vehicle. The driver located cannabis and drug equipment on the driver’s person."
