A New Lenox teen allegedly vandalized the Christmas decorations at a home about a mile from his own.

Tyler Tsokatos, 19, of 195 Otto Drive was charged with criminal damage to property in connection with the incident in the 1100 block of Patriot Drive.

A New Lenox police officer was sent to the scene of the alleged crime shortly after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and was told by a man there "that Tsokatos damaged his Christmas decorations," police said.

Tsokatos was arrested but posted bond and was released.

This alleged holiday havoc happened only days after a Green Garden shed was looted and about $15,000 worth of Christmas decorations disappeared.

I am Tyler's mother and my son was falsely accused! They have the license plate number of the car that is responsible and have identified it according to Tori Flowers, the 'eyewitness' and daughter of property owners and I spoke to her in depth about the incident. The police came to our house at midnight giving tyler the choice of paying the 80$ to replace the decoration or being arrested. Not having a clue as to what they were talking about he begain asking questions, police then asked him to step onto front porch we he turned to put some shoes on New Lenox police grabbed his arm, told him he was under arrest and took him barefoot, no coat to the station. Additionally the 'victims' daughter profile pic is of her being interviewed by an officer at their kitchen table. Must have been a kodac moment for the Flowers family. DISGUSTING!

I dunno but if my kid were in trouble with the cops, last thing I would do would be commenting on social media about it and dissing the other family.

I think it is absolutely disgusting Patch prints these before people are actually convicted. Patch, you suck.

Tyler has been accused of this type of incident before when a reliable neighbor saw him cutting xmas lights. But of course his mother went over to the neighbor's house and said what she posted here. It's never her son.

Patch didn't say he was guilty but accused. Most newspapers let us know when someone is arrested, Cat. It keeps the public informed.

FYI - Todd collura is our next door neighbor whom we have tried to ignor for several years due to the family's inappropriate behavior. The incident. he sited was proved to b wrong due to the fact that my son was at a friends house, playing in their backyard, and supervised by the parents during the time the lights were cut. Sigh... No matter what we do and how we try to live our life peace Todd and his wife continue to harass us. We actually put up a 6 ft wall next to our patio for privacy and to prevent them from calling us names. If Todd wants to talk about children let's talk about his. I actually caught them writing 'duchbag' on our driveway in chalk. But of course Todd blamed it on another child that was over playing with his children even though I saw his children writing. Todd, again please just leave us alone...

Hey Rae, I just commented on what I know. And if you have tried to ignore this family for years, stop staring over the fence at our children, asking your boyfriend to stop bothering my wife and try to do things a neighbor does( shovel your sidewalk for the school kids, don't throw fireworks in my backyard, keep your virginia slim cigarette butts out of my back yard) . If you want to continue I can comment on things that are PUBLIC RECORDS. Can you do the same or just more stories?
Rae Sparrey Tsokatos February 19, 2014 at 08:03 PM
Todd not even going to respond to last comment besides leave us alone, have another Jack and thanks for snow blowing our sidewalk so ur kids can walk to the bus stop.
Todd Collura February 19, 2014 at 08:13 PM
Thank you and leave us alone
Rae Sparrey Tsokatos February 19, 2014 at 08:22 PM
Oh and BTW U CREEP this is pretty much public record!
Todd Collura February 19, 2014 at 08:43 PM
Nice. Your response shows who you are. Just for the record, I'm an Army veteran, union electrician, husband and a father to 3 children. I have no police record, other than a speeding ticket 10 years ago. Again Rae do you want to go there. Please stop and leave us alone.
