New Lenox Police Report Even More Fraud Cases in Village

The New Lenox police must have their hands full with all of this fraud.

With plenty of fraud cases reported in the last three weeks, the New Lenox police learned of even more allegedly shady dealings be done in the village.

First, a woman showed up at the police station about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and reportedly told an officer that an "unknown person made a claim at the Illinois Department of Employment Security using her personal information."

Then, about five hours later, an officer headed over to the 1100 block of North Cedar Road and was told by a man that an "unknown person was attempting to open a credit account using her information," police said.
