New Lenox Police Investigating Bank Fraud Cases in Town

The police are probing a couple possible fraud cases.

The New Lenox police have launched a pair of bank fraud investigations.

First, the police said they were told on Halloween by a resident in the 800 block of Country Creek Drive that an "unknown person fraudulently cashed checks from his checking account."

The very next day, the police said they were informed by a resident of the 100 block of South Prairie Road that an "unknown person withdrew approximately $1,800 from her checking account without her permission."

Both matters were sent to the department's investigations division for review, police said.
