Window broken

Police reported that someone broke a window at a home in the 1100 block of Pine Street. A criminal damage to property complaint was filed.

Walmart halts retail theft

Taylor Washington, 24, of Joliet, was arrested and charged with felony retail theft. According to the report, Walmart security stopped her when she attempted to walk out with $150 worth of merchandise without paying for it. She was taken to Will Couny Jail.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 12

Identity theft complaint

Police were called to the 1000 block of Grandview Drive after a resident there discovered that someone had attempted to use his or her identity to open an account with Comcast Co. Police are investigating the matter.

Golf clubs and air compressor stolen from garage

Someone reportedly stole a set of golf clubs and an air compressor from a garage in the 400 block of Michigan Road. The value of the items was not noted; however, police are investigating the incident.

MONDAY, SEPT. 10

Loose change stolen from car

Police say someone from the 600 block of Lilas Court complained that someone burglarlized an unlocked vehicle and stole an undetermined amount of loose change.
