New Lenox Police Blotter: Fraud and Battery Complaints

THURSDAY, AUG. 30

Online fraudulent transaction

Police say someone from the 900 block of Knollside Road complained that an unauthorized online purchase was made using a debit card account. The matter is under investigation.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 29

Driving on a suspended license

Ryan Nabor, 26, of Channahon, was cited for driving on a suspended license. According to the report, police noticed that the vehicle he was driving had been involved in a minor accident in the area of Cedar and Laraway Roads. Upon investigation, his license came back as suspended.

Battery complaint filed

An employee of Prime Time Sports Restaurant and Bar in the 2300 block of Joliet Highway notified police that he had been battered by another of the restaurant's employees. Police are investigating the incident.

TUESDAY, AUG. 28

A $100 counterfeit bill is passed

Walmart officials notified police after they discovered that a $20 purchase was made with a $100 counterfeit bill. A fraud report was filed, and police are investigating the matter.

Ticket issued

Kenneth Edwards, 20, of Joliet, was cited after a random registration check of his vehicle's license plate in the 600 block of Route 30. Police issued him a ticket for driving on a suspended license.

MONDAY, AUG. 27

Criminal damage to vehicle

Police say someone whose vehicle was parked in the lot at Silver Cross Hospital on Silver Cross Boulevard at Route 6 was damaged. Police are investigating the report.
