New Lenox Man Nabbed for Possession of a Controlled Substance: Police Blotter

Four drivers were stopped for DUI and drug-related arrests.

Steven Neiheisel, 32, of the 1700 block of Nelson Road, was charged March 1 for possession of a controlled substance by New Lenox police. 

According to the report, police stopped a suspicious vehicle shortly after 1 a.m. at Joliet Highway and Prairie Avenue. An investigation revealed that Neiheisel allegedly was in possession of a controlled substance.  

He was further booked into Will County jail pending formal charges for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper display of registration license plate/sticker, driving without a license, operating an uninsured vehicle and a turning violation.

Bond was set at $15,000.

THURSDAY, FEB. 28

Zachary Monahan, 34, of the 200 block of S. Cooper Road, was pulled over at Cedar and Laraway Roads after police received a complaint about a reckless driver. He was issued a citation for reportedly driving under the influence of drugs and/or drugs.

Carlos Suarez, 25, Chicago Heights, was initially stopped for speeding at Haven and Prairie Avenues. Police then reportedly determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. He was issued a ticket.

TUESDAY, FEB. 26

An equipment violation captured police attention, and John Pickler, 49, Tinley Park. He was pulled over at Route 6 and Gougar Road. An investigation revealed that he was reportedly driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. He was also cited for driving an uninsured vehicle.
