New Lenox Man Charged With Stealing From Target

The New Lenox resident tried stealing more than $100 worth of stuff, police said.

No one from New Lenox has gotten caught stealing from Walmart in recent weeks, but the cops got one allegedly pilfering from the Target.

Brian Lofek, 32, of 1013 Alamosa St. was charged with retail theft in connection with a Wednesday evening incident at the East Lincoln Highway superstore.

An officer sent to the store was told "that Lofek removed approximately $140 worth of merchandise from the shelf and left the store without paying for it," police said.

Lofek was released from custody after posting bond.
