New Lenox Man Caught Holding Heroin During Traffic Stop: Cops

The New Lenox man was pulled over for speeding, police said.

The New Lenox cops pulled a local man over for speeding and caught him holding heroin, police said.

Jesse Mitchell, 21, of 201 E. Woodlawn Road was arrested on a charge of possession of heroin during an early Wednesday morning traffic stop near the corner of Cedar Road and Otto Drive.

An "officer conducted a traffic stop for speeding and from previous contacts recognized the passenger as Mitchell," police said. "The officer (then) discovered that Mitchell was in possession of Heroin."

Mitchell was taken to the Will County jail where he remains in custody. Mitchell is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond.
