New Lenox Cops Nab Manhattan Man With Suspended License: Police

The Manhattan man was speeding, police said.

A Manhattan man stopped for speeding in New Lenox turned out to have a suspended driver's license, police said.

Matthew Lovig, 25, of 235 Woodrow Ave. was pulled over about 1:15 a.m. Thursday near the corner of Gougar Road and Illinois Highway.

An "officer observed a vehicle speeding and conducted a stop," police said. "The officer discovered that the driver, Lovig, had a suspended license."

Lovig was also driving without insurance, police said. He was released after posting bond.
