New Lenox Cops Crack Heroin Ring, Arrest 2 & Seize Gun, Drugs: Police

Two Ford Heights residents were arrested and charged with selling heroin to New Lenox residents.

The New Lenox cops raided a Ford Heights home and arrested a man and woman who allegedly had been selling heroin to locals.

Loren Daniels, 26, and McClain Davis, 29, both were charged with possession of a controlled substance following the raid on their 1125 Seeley Ave. residence Tuesday.

Daniels was also charged with the possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. Davis caught a felony case of conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.

The raid capped a month-long investigation by the New Lenox Police Department.

"The investigation was a result of information gathered that Daniels and (Davis) were selling heroin to residents in the New Lenox area," police said. "The investigation developed enough information to receive a search warrant for the residence of Daniels and Davis."

The County Sheriff’s Department Gang Unit hit the house with the New Lenox police.

"The search warrant revealed an operation for the distribution of heroin," police said. "Police discovered over 100 individually sealed capsules containing heroin, a small amount of cannabis, various drug equipment and distribution paraphernalia, and a Glock handgun with a 30 round ammunition clip, which had been reported stolen from a burglary in Georgia."

Police said additional charges are pending a review by the Cook County State Attorney’ Office.
