New Lenox Cops Charge New Lenox People With DUI Sunday

The New Lenox police made a couple drunken driving arrests Sunday.

The New Lenox cops apprehended a couple of alleged drunken drivers Sunday.

The police first pulled over Ryan McGuire, 24, of 715 Ogden Road in New Lenox shortly after 3 a.m.

McGuire was allegedly driving with his headlights off when he was stopped near the corner of Independence Boulevard and Nelson Road.

An officer "discovered that McGuire was under the influence of alcohol," police said. McGuire was charged with that and driving without headlights.

McGuire was released from custody after posting bond.

Then, shortly before 5:30 p.m., an officer spotted a "suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of businesses in the 100 block of Illinois Highway," police said.

The officer investigated this suspicious vehicle, police said, and "discovered that the driver," 55-year-old Debra Neville of 1308 Corrie Lane in New Lenox, "was under the influence and in possession of drug equipment and cannabis," police said.

Neville was charged with driving under the influence, possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment. She was released from custody after posting bond.
