New Lenox Cops Catch Wanted Out-of-Towners

One of the wanted men was released on bond but the other had to go to jail.

Some wanted me from out of town came to New Lenox and got arrested, police said.

First, police pulled over 51-year-old Michael Widner of 1800 Hosmer Lane in Crest Hill. Widner was stopped shortly before 6:30 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Route 30.

Widner was pulled over because an "officer conducted a random registration check and learned the owner had a revoked driver’s license and a warrant for his arrest," police said.

"The driver matched the description of the owner of the vehicle and the officer conducted a traffic stop," police said. "The officer confirmed that the driver had a revoked license and the warrant."

Widner was released after her posted bond.

Then, shortly before 6:30 p.m. Sunday, another wanted man was pulled over. John Borst, 54, of 151 S. Jefferson St. in Lockport was pulled over near the junction of Route 30 and Interstate 80.

An "officer observed a vehicle with expired registration and conducted a stop," police said. "The officer discovered that the driver, Borst, had a warrant for his arrest."

Borst was taken to the Will County jail.
