New Lenox Cops Catch Wanted Downstate Man During Traffic Stop: Police

A wanted Murphysboro man was captured and also turned out to be carrying pot, police said.

The New Lenox cops apprehended a Downstate man wanted for failing to appear in court.

The wanted Mursphysboro man, 43-year-old Mark Tassone, was pulled over shortly before 6 p.m. Dec. 10 near the corner of East Maple and Church streets. The police reportedly stopped Tassone for driving erratically.

Tassone's warrant was out of Cook County. The officer who stopped him also allegedly found him in possession of about 45 grams of marijuana.

Tassone was taken to the Will County jail.
