New Lenox & Manhattan Police Teaching Driver Safety For Older Motorists

The two-day class is only $15 for AARP members.

From the New Lenox Police Department:

The New Lenox Police Department, Manhattan Police Department and American Association of Retired Persons are sponsoring the “Driver Safety Course."

This program is a review for mature drivers and is scheduled for May 5 and 6 from 9 a. m. until 1 p.m. at the New Lenox Village Hall Community Room, 1 Veterans Park Way.

The course covers driving skills, laws and regulations, local driving problems and license renewal requirements. Many insurance companies recognize participants through premium reductions or discounts.

Cost for the program is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members . Checks need to be made out to AARP. Payment is required on the first day of class. No payments will be taken ahead of time.
