Multiple Car Burglaries Hit New Lenox in 1 Day: Blotter

Electronics, a purse and a few other items were taken in the series of car burglaries reported on June 26.

A series of vehicle burglaries were reported on June 26 in the 700 blocks of Bon Terre and Brockwood, according to New Lenox police reports.

The eight burglaries were reported between 6:59 a.m. and 8:36 a.m., the reports state.

All of the burglaries involved unlocked vehicles, according to police. The following items were reported missing:

  • 4 GPS units,
  • 1 phone charge,
  • 1 laptop,
  • 2 iPods,
  • 1 purse,
  • 1 amplifier,
  • loose change.

In one incident, the vehicle was rummaged through but nothing was taken, according to the report.

No arrests were reported.
