Moving Violations Attract Attention, DUI and More: Police Blotter

New Lenox police grab four motorists for DUI.

New Lenox police stopped four drivers over a two-day period, March 2-3, and issued citations for DUI and traffic violations.

SUNDAY, MARCH 3

  • George Maheras, 47, Chicago, was observed driving erratically in the 1500 block of Lincoln Highway, according to the report. Police determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was cited for DUI and improper lane use.
  • 60-year-old Bruce A. Williquette, a Hickory Street resident, was spotted driving erratically in the 900 block of Cedar Road. Police determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. While police attempted to take him into custody, he resisted arrest, according to the report. He was ticketed for DUI, resisting a police officer and moving violations.
  • Jeffrey A. Couch, 29, of the 400 block of Circlegate Road, was reportedly driving erratically at 1:40 a.m. at Illinois Highway at Prairie Road. When he was pulled over, police determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He was cited for DUI and for driving on a suspended license.

  • Daniel C. Zeigler, 22, of the 900 block of S. Cooper Road, was driving erratically, according to the report, and police pulled him over at Gougar and Laraway Roads. He was ticketed for DUI and moving violations.
