A Mokena man hid some stuff under his jacket, the New Lenox police said.

With Christmas just a week away, a Mokena man tried sneaking some Walmart merchandise out of the store under his jacket, the police said.

Joshua Miller, 20, of 19531 116th Ave. was nabbed shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday at the East Lincoln Highway megastore.

A New Lenox officer sent to the Walmart to investigate what was allegedly afoot was told "Miller removed merchandise from the shelf, concealed it under his jacket and left the store without paying for it," police said.
