Police serve up a DUI and two more traffic citations
Donald Beeck, 51, of the 700 block of Bobwhite Street, was stopped for speeding and improper lane usage at Cardinal and Laraway Road. According to the report, officers discovered that he had been drinking too. He was issued tickets for each violation.

James Hitt, 59, Lemont, was stopped for a speeding violation at Route 30 and Marley Road. A computer check of his license revealed that he was also driving on a suspended license and wanted in Lemont on a warrant for failure to appear in court. He was issued tickets for the traffic violations and posted bond on the warrant.
TUESDAY, JAN. 15
Police investigate jewelry heist
Security staff at Walmart, in the 500 block of Route 30, filed a retail theft complaint when they discovered that someone had taken about $200 worth of jewelry and left the store without paying for it. Police are investigating the incident.

A triple whammy
Raymond Roskos, 42, O'Fallon, was pulled over at Route 30 and Cedar Road after police noticed that his registration had expired. He was further ticketed for driving on a suspended license and for operating an uninsured vehicle.

Police are investigating a car burglary complaint filed by a resident from the 500 block of Wildwood Street. According to the report, various tools had been stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The value of the tools was not listed.
