Idling Car Stolen From Outside Silver Cross ER Ends Up In Tinley Park

A car stolen from outside the Silver Cross Hospital emergency room turned up later in Tinley Park, police said.

A New Lenox police officer was sent to the hospital shortly before 9 a.m. Sunday and met with a woman who said she parked her car and left it running outside the emergency room.

Surprisingly, someone seemed to have driven off in her car.

The police reportedly tracked the vehicle down to the 17100 block of Oketo Avenue in Tinley Park. The police did not specify when the car was found or if it was still idling when recovered.
