Harvey Woman Charged with Felony After Stopped in Stolen Car: Police

The driver was stopped on June 30 by New Lenox police. She remains in Will County jail.

A 28-year-old Harvey woman wanted in Missouri was arrested after police found her inside a stolen vehicle.

Lashieka Hollis, 28, of the 14900 block of Center Avenue, was booked into the Will County jail on June 1 on charges of felony possession of a stolen vehicle and misdemeanor driving without insurance, according to Will County records. Bail was set at $20,000.

Hollis, was who arrested by New Lenox police on June 30, also has a fugitive warrant out against her from Missouri, according to records.

A vehicle was stopped at about 4:35 p.m. in the 1500 block of West Route 30 after an officer conducted a random registration check, police said. The officer confirmed that the vehicle was stolen and arrested Hollis, the reports states.

Hollis remains in Will County jail.
