Frankfort Firefighters Snuff Blaze at Emergency Equipment Company

A fire started in the exhaust ductwork at Paratech.

A fire erupted in the exhaust ductwork of a grinder at a Frankfort emergency equipment company Thursday afternoon.

Employees of Paratech on Lambrecht Drive attacked the blaze with fire extinguishers, said Frankfort Fore Protection District Battalion Chief Tim Campbell. Firefighters then arrived and doused the flames.

No one was injured and there was no major structural damage, Campbell said.

Paratech "manufactures an ever-increasing number of emergency service, industrial and law enforcement products," according to the company's website.
