Former Lincoln-Way Employee Charged With Trespassing at Schools

Michael Angel, of Frankfort, told police he was trying to find a box of personal items he left after he was terminated.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a former Lincoln-Way High School District 210 employee, who was charged with trespassing in two of the schools after he was terminated.

Michael Angel, 42, of Frankfort, was charged with two counts of criminal trespassing on property at Lincoln-Way Central and Lincoln-Way East, according to the Will County Sheriff's Department. Angel last worked for District 210 "a few years ago," department spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer said. She did not know what job Angel had while employed by District 210.

Hoffmeyer said a security guard at Central had seen Angel's vehicle, a white Dodge van, parked at the school on multiple occasions. At about 3 a.m. on April 19, the security guard saw the van again and took down the license plate number to report to police.

When questioned, Angel told police he was looking for a box he left at the schools that contained personal paperwork. Hoffmeyer said other maintenance workers at the schools saw Angel inside on multiple evenings, but assumed he was an employee because he had keys to schools.

"We believe he may have had two sets," Hoffmeyer said.
