Erratic Driving Draws Police Attention: Blotter

New Lenox police reports, March 13-17.

SUNDAY, MARCH 17

Copper Pipes Stolen

Someone took copper piping from a home under construction. Officers were called at about 4:32 p.m. to a house in the 1200 block of Hickory Creek Drive. The incident remains under investigation.

SATURDAY, MARCH 16

Charges for DUI and Marijuana

Joseph S. Marshall, 34, of the 14600 block of South Greenwood in Dolton, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of marijuana and also was cited for a moving violation, according to a report. Marshall was stopped at about 4:38 a.m. on Nelson Road near Route 30. Police determined he was under the influence and, after a search of his vehicle, found marijuana. He was released after posting bond.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13

Erratic Driving Draw Police Attention

David A. Beamish, 49, of the 1800 block of Pennington Court in New Lenox, was cited for driving under the influence, making a lane violation and disobeying a traffic control device, according to a report. Beamish was stopped at about 2:05 a.m. on Lincoln Highway near Schoolhouse Road after he was seen driving erratically by an officer. Police determined he was under the influence. Beamish was arrested and released after posting bond.
