Elderly New Lenox Man Beaten and Robbed by Granddaughter: Cops

The Blue Island woman battered her grandfather and stole jewelry from him, police said.

A New Lenox police officer responding to a report of an "elderly man screaming for help" apprehended his granddaughter after she stole his jewelry, police said.

Nicole Labriola, 31, of 12201 Maple Ave. in Blue Island was booked into the Will County jail on charges of theft, battery and criminal trespass to a residence in connection with the Sunday evening incident at her grandfather's Arthur Pass home.

Officers were sent to the residence shortly after 8 p.m. to check out a "complaint of an elderly man screaming for help," police said.

"When the officers arrived they discovered that the elderly man’s granddaughter, Labriola, let herself in the house and struggled with the victim as she attempted to take items from the house," police said.

According to the criminal complaint against Labriola, she filched jewelry from her grandfather after pushing him.

Labriola was released from the jail after posting $15,000 bond.
