Drunken Driver Found With Open Bottle of Vodka: Cops

A motorist tipped the police to a reckless driver who turned out to be drunk, police said.

A motorist dropped a dime on a drunken driver and got her arrested, police said.

Debra Fenili, 43, of 12 Clairmont Ave. in Joliet was arrested shortly before noon Wednesday.

An anonymous caller let the law know about a reckless driver and an officer headed over to the area of Lincoln Highway and Nelson Road to check it out, police said.

"The officer located the vehicle and observed the vehicle swerving in and out of traffic," police said. "The officer conducted a traffic stop and discovered that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and in possession of an open bottle of vodka."

Fenili was charged with driving under the influence, the illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage. She was released after posting bond.
