A Dolton man wanted on a felony aggravated battery charge for allegedly attacking a man on the Providence High School football field surrendered to the New Lenox police the day after Christmas.

Levertis Logan, 27, posted bond and was released from custody after turning himself in at the police station.

Logan hit a man named George Jordan while they were on the Providence Catholic High School football field Nov. 9, according to court papers.

At the time of his arrest, Logan was free on a $25,000 recognizance while awaiting the resolution of a federal drug case. He and 17 other "alleged members or associates of the Black Disciples street gang" were charged in April as part of a "continuing investigation into drug and gun trafficking in and around the Altgeld Gardens area on Chicago’s South Side," according to a statement released by the FBI.
