Crooks Took Catalytic Converter Off Car Parked at Silver Cross Hospital

Thieves absconded with the catalytic converter of a car parked in the Silver Cross Hospital lot.

The catalytic converter theft was reported to police shortly before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

An "officer was dispatched to the parking lot of Silver Cross reference a complaint of theft of motor vehicle parts," police said. "The complainant advised an unknown person removed the catalytic converter from her car."

The matter was sent to the New Lenox Police Department's investigations division for review.
