A sticky-fingered thief—or thieves—pinched a pair of purses in New Lenox.

First, a woman lost her purse while visiting Portillo's about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Then, the following morning, an officer was sent to Kmart to look into a report of a purse that was stolen.

New Lenox police detectives were to review the two cases.
