Crook Manages to Open Unlocked Car Parked in New Lenox & Steals Things
A parked car left unlocked was violated by a thief, police said.
"Various items" were stolen from a parked car left unlocked on Lake Road Friday night, police said.
The car-breaker struck shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Lake near East Joliet Highway police said.
An "officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Lake in reference to a report of burglary to vehicle," police said. "The complainant advised that an unknown person entered his unlocked vehicle and removed various items."
The New Lenox Police Department's investigations division was on the case.
