Cops Mum on Roof Damage in New Lenox

The New Lenox police won't say what happened to a damaged roof on Route 30.

The roof of a building on Route 30 in New Lenox was damaged last week but the police won't say what happened to it.

An officer was "dispatched to the 300 block of W. Rt. 30 reference a complaint of criminal damage to property," police said. "The complainant advised that an unknown person damaged the roof of the building."

Telephone calls—and an email sent—to the police asking which building the roof covered and how it was damaged were ignored.
