Patrick Giles allegedly was one of at least eight who stormed the Sports Authority and stole thousands of dollars worth of Starter Jackets.

The Frankfort police say they've gotten started rounding up a mob of men who stormed a Sports Authority store and stole thousands of dollars worth of Starter jackets.

Patrick Giles, 21, of 6126 S. Morgan St. in Chicago was jailed Thursday on charges of burglary and retail theft in connection with the brazen heist earlier this month.

At least eight young men rushed the West Lincoln Highway Sports Authority and grabbed 59 Bears, Blackhawks and Cubs Starter jackets worth as much as $8,850.

"It was too fast to be scary," store manager Kerry Oliver said in the wake of the robbery. "More annoying than anything."

Two other Sports Authority stores, one in Chicago and the other in Burbank, were robbed in the same manner on the same day.

The authorities are still trying to track down Giles' alleged partners in crime, according to a statement released by the Frankfort Police Department.
