A vandal scratched a car on Dartmouth Lane in New Lenox.
A New Lenox police officer was sent to Dartmouth Lane about 11 a.m. Friday to check out the report of a scratched car.
The officer met with a woman and was told an "unknown person scratched her vehicle," police said.
The case was sent along to the New Lenox Police Department's investigations division.
