Car Knocked Onto Side in Friday Evening Crash on Route 30 in New Lenox

Both drivers refused medical attention after the crash, police said.

No one was injured when two cars collided on Route 30 after a New Lenox teen turned in front of an oncoming vehicle, police said.

The 17-year old was turning left from the westbound lanes into the parking lot of the Kentucky Fried Chicken shortly after 6 p.m. Friday. His Chevy Cruze was hit by an eastbound Ford Taurus.

The Cruze ended up on its side.

The teen was cited for failing to yield when turning left. The other driver was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.

Both the teen and the other driver refused medical attention, police said.
