Car Crimes Reported in New Lenox

New Lenox detectives are investigating a couple crimes against cars recently reported to police.

First, an officer was sent to the 1400 block of Pine Grove Lane about noon on May 11. A New Lenox resident told the officer an "unknown person broke the window on his vehicle," police said.

Then, shortly after 2 p.m. the following day, an officer was sent to the Charter Fitness on East Lincoln Highway. A man there told the officer an "unknown person stole his vehicle, a 2003 Gray Honda Accord," police said.
